Welcome to Switzerland! You will arrive in Zurich and
be transported to your hotel after arrival. During the afternoon you will
be taken on an orientation tour of the city and have the opportunity to
see some of the wonderful stained glass window. That evening you and the
group you will be touring with will have the opportunity to meet each other
and enjoy a welcome drink.
Next stop'Berne. On this tour the group will get to see the mechanical procession
of painted figures at the clock tower and then on to the Ogre Fountain.
There will be many arcaded houses and a 13th century castle with splendid
vies of the lake along Main Street in Murten. Then follow the shores of
Lac Leman to the International city of Geneva.
Along the shores of the lake you will begin to explore Geneva. While in
Geneva the group will see Jet D'Eau, Floral Clock and Reformation Monument.
A scenic cruise on Lake Geneva will land at Montreux and the coach will
take you to visit Chillon Castle. After the castle a scenic ride up into
the mountains to the Alpine village of Villars will be enjoyed by all.
On this day the Swiss Country Excursion through the vineyards and alpine
meadows will lead us to Gruyeres, known for its cheese. There will be time
to explore its castle and main street before returning to your hotel for
the evening.
Wow! We have been on this tour for 6 days and today we are going to Martigny
to view the Roman Amphitheatre. The end of this day's journey will take
you to Zermatt. Day 7 will be an entire day to relax in the clean mountain
air. Two choices that are very exciting are either the mountain cable car
or the Gornergrat rack railway.
You will descend down the mountain the next morning to rejoin your coach.
On your coach ride this afternoon you will cut through Italy, stopping along
the shores of Lake Maggiore. Upon arriving back into Switzerland, there
will be a beautiful drive to the lakeside resort Lugano. There will be a
full day of leisure to do what you would like to do with the group or by
yourself
The next couple of days will find you in the jet-set resort of St Moritz.
From here a trip on the Glacier Express will give you some of the most scenic
views in the world. At the end of the ride there will be a night in Interlaken.
While there the next day there will be a tour through the Valley of Waterfalls.
The next two days you will experience Swiss rural life at the Ballenber
Open-Air Museum. A trip over the Brunig Pass to Lake Lucerne will also give
views of Mt. Titlis and Spannorter peaks.
Oh no!!!! It is now the last day of your exciting tour of Switzerland and
an excursion on the cog-wheel railway will take you to the summit of Mount
Pilatus and will give stunning views of Lucerne, lakes, countryside and
hills. On the trip back to Lucerne you will have a wonderful view of the
wooden covered bridge and the Lion Monument which is carved from a limestone
cliff.
