First of all, if it means a lot to you leave it at home locked up.
If you really need to take it, make sure it is in your carry-on or on your person.
Never leave your luggage unattended or take your eyes off your bags.
It's a good idea to mark your luggage with a bright, easy to identify marking.
This way you can get it off the baggage carousel or out of baggage claim areas quickly.
If you are going on a cruise, either lock your valuables in your cabin safe or
ask the Purser’s Desk to lock them up. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
